The Independent Commission of Investigations, INDECOM, says its working to collect the relevant statements in the investigation into the death of Mario Dean.
Senior Public Relations Officer at INDECOM, Kahmile Reid says the investigation began on August 3 when investigators responded to a report of an “injury in custody,’ at the Barnett Street Police Station.
Within hours of the incident, INDECOM investigators recorded statements from civilians; conducted brief interviews with the concerned officers and served them with Notices to furnish statements.
These statements are expected today.
