The Independent Commission of Investigations, INDECOM, has secured the conviction of another Policeman.

This as Constable Phillip Campbell, who’s attached to the Kingston Central Police, was found guilty of assault occasioning bodily harm.

The court was told that in 2009, Constable Campbell and a man had a heated dispute at an auto parts store.

The Policeman pulled a firearm and hit the complainant in the region of his ear.

Constable Campbell will be sentenced on October 17.

He’s facing a maximum of three years in prison.

The case is the fourth matter completed in the courts by INDECOM, giving the Commission its fourth conviction.

INDECOM has over 100 matters before the courts.
