Local Government Minister, Desmond McKenzie, says at least three suggestions made by Junior Mayors regarding infirmaries across the country, will become policy starting this year.
Local Government Month, ended last week, with a Junior Mayor’s Forum, consisting of representatives from the 14 municipalities.

Meanwhile, Minister McKenzie says the 13-infirmaries across the island are set to benefit from almost half a billion dollars worth of donations from three state agencies and the humanitarian group, Food for the Poor. He says more than $220-million of that sum is from the National Housing Trust, NHT.
Those funds will go towards the construction of new facilities. The other donors are the CHASE Fund and the National Health Fund.
