Member of Parliament for South St Catherine, Fitz Jackson, says a future PNP administration will reverse the government’s decision to make Portmore the fifteenth parish.
Mr. Jackson says the process adopted by the Holness Administration robs the residents of a chance to decide their future.
Mr. Jackson was speaking with Nationwide News yesterday.
He says the government’s current push to separate Portmore from the parish of St Catherine is for their political gain.

He says the idea of transforming Portmore into a parish began under a former PNP administration.
Dr Wheatley says the bill will be debated in Parliament shortly.
Dr. Wheatley says steps are being taken to ensure that Portmore has all it will require as a parish.
