The Jamaica Broilers Group has acquired a Feed Mill and its associated assets in Georgia in the US.

The company says it’s finalizing the execution of an Asset Purchase Agreement with Crystal Farms Mills.

Jamaica Broilers says that as at Monday, August 27, it took over the day to day operations of the Feed Mill.

President of JBG’s US Operations, Stephen Levy says the Feed Mill’s third-party feed sales will result in increased revenues and profitability for the Group.

He says with the Feed Mill’s ideal location on the Norfolk Southern Railroad, and its double railway spur, they’ll be able to take full advantage of grain logistics.

Mr. Levy says the acquisition allows their US Operations to have greater control over its feed supplies.

JBG’s US Operations currently has breeder farms that produce fertile hatching eggs, in Arkansas and Georgia.

In addition, they operate hatcheries in Iowa and Pennsylvania.
