Jamaica’s 4-member team is set to travel to Peru for the Elite Cycling Track championships form June 23-29.

The team which include Daniel Palmer, Brandon Reid, Zoe Boyd and Dahlia Palmer will leave the island on June 21.

The Jamaicans, with the exception of Dahlia Palmer who is based in Trinidad and Tobago, have not had the benefit of training at a proper facility.

Reid believes this will put the local based riders at a disadvantage.

He says without the service of a velodrome they’ll not be able to practice certain technique.
