Jamaica’s junior athletes amassed 82 medals to win the CARIFTA Games for the 34th straight year, in the Bahamas, yesterday.

The Jamaican’s came away with 44-gold, 27-silver and 11-bronze.

Briana Williams won the Austin Sealy award.

Williams won the Under-17 girls’ 100, 200 and 4-by-100-metres to be named the most outstanding athlete of the three-day championships.

The Jamaicans swept the mile relays, as they did in the sprint hurdles and 200 metres.
