A 21-year old man from Parade Gardens, Central Kingston, is facing capital murder charges in the United States after allegedly killing his father and his wife in Dallas, Texas on Saturday.
The man identified as Collie Orrett Ridguard, by the Dallas police, was arrested on Saturday afternoon.
Reports from the Dallas police are Ridguard called 911 shortly before 3:00 pm and told the operator he had killed both people.
Nationwide News sources indicate Ridguard also posted about his alleged deed on social media shorty after the incident.
One post seen by our news centre seems to be a confession followed by a laughing emoji.
The police say they responded where the bodies of the two people were found. They were pronounced dead at the scene.
The police say Ridguard was taken to the hospital for medical evaluation before he was arrested.
The Dallas Police have not officially released the identities of the two people who were killed. But, Nationwide News sources have revealed the relationship of those murdered.
Reports from our sources suggest Ridguard may suffer from a mental illness.
The capital murder charge in Texas carries a sentence of life in prison or the death penalty.
