A federal grand jury in Connecticut has indicted two people, including a Jamaican man, on sex trafficking charges involving several minors.
The US Attorney’s office has laid sex trafficking charges on 25 year old Jamaican, Wellington Brown and 21 year old American, Sheen Dume.
A court indictment says Brown and Dume conspired to recruit, entice, harbor and transport five minors for sex acts from June 2013 to February this year.
The pair were arrested in the state of Maryland on July 30 after being indicted, and they remain in police custody.
The charges against them carry a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years in prison and a maximum sentence of life.
