Jamaica’s tourism product continues to be recognised internationally with the nation topping several categories at the 2021 Travvy Awards.
Jamaica won gold in the categories of the Caribbean’s Best Destination, Best Culinary Destination, Best Tourism Board, and Best Travel Agent Academy Program.
Jamaica also received Silver awards for best Caribbean Wedding Destination and Best Caribbean Honeymoon Destination.

In a statement, Tourism Minister, Ed Bartlett says the recognition at the Travvy Awards is an honour. He says Jamaica accepts the awards with gratitude and humility.
Minister Bartlett also thanked the team at the Tourism Ministry, the Jamaica Tourism Board, other public bodies and stakeholders who helped Jamaica to be recognised.
Voting for the Travvy awards commenced last year, when travel agent readers of Agent@Home magazine and TravelPulse.com cast over 130,000 votes in over 140 categories to determine this year’s winners.
The annual Travvy Awards dubbed the “Academy Awards of the Travel Industry” was held at the Miami Beach Convention Center last Thursday.
The award honours travel firms, travel products, travel agencies, and destinations for their remarkable success.
Less than a month ago Jamaica also secured the top awards at the World Travel Awards Caribbean & North America 2021 Winners Day in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
