President of the Jamaica Civil Service Association, JCSA, Oneil Grant, says the JCSA has proposed that its members receive a fare concession similar to the one granted to them eight years ago.

That proposal is reportedly being considered by Cabinet.

The previous fare concession for public sector workers of 35-dollars per trip, ended up costing the government 5-million dollars in the 2005-2006 fiscal year.

Mr. Grant says the JCSA is yet to work out the money value of the concession being sought this time around.
