The People’s National Party, PNP, and its affiliated bloggers are being accused of using disinformation and character assassination for political advantage.
That’s the charge being levelled by member of the Jamaica Labour Party, JLP, Communication Task Force, Senator Marlon Morgan.
He’s reacting to vlogs showing some prominent political activists bashing the displaced Coopers Pen, Trelawny, residents for being respectful and warm to the prime minister during his visit on Friday.
The vlogs surfaced over the weekend.
The activists and bloggers lamented that when Dr Andrew Holness visited Coopers Pen, the people whose homes were demolished failed to execute what they alluded to as an agenda.
They say, rather than being hostile, the residents, whom they describe as treacherous, virtually rolled out the red carpet for the prime minister.
Senator Morgan says those comments, coupled with the controversial “chop di line” remark from MP Isat Buchanan, further highlight the level of toxicity coming from the PNP.
