A 48-hour curfew has been imposed in sections of Jones Avenue, in the St. Catherine North Police Division.
The curfew began on Tuesday 6PM, and will remain in effect until 6 tomorrow evening.
The JCF says during the hours of the curfew, all persons within its boundaries are required to remain within their premises unless otherwise authorized in writing by the ground commander.
The Force says the aim of the operation is to apprehend criminal elements aligned to warring factions within the division.
It also relates to the seizure of illegal firearms, ammunition, dangerous drugs, wanted persons, and persons of interest and to curtail the escalation of crimes within the spaces.
Meanwhile, a 48-hour curfew has been imposed in Mount Salem, St. James.
The curfew which began on Monday, will remain in effect until 6 this evening.
