The President and CEO of the Jamaica Public Service Company, JPS, Kelly Tomblin, is disputing claims by the Kingston and St. Andrew Corporation that the government is paying the light and power company for defective street lights.
She says the power company replaces street lights daily.
Miss Tomblin pointed out the government has significant arrears with JPS, going as far back as a year and a half.
She’s urging the government to pay their arrears.
She says until the issue of theft is resolved, the street lights will continue to be defective.
