The Jamaica Public Service Company, JPS, says its crews are addressing power outages as the country continues to experience adverse weather conditions.

The JPS says 14-thousand or about 2-per cent of its customers islandwide have been impacted due to landslides and trees coming into contact with power lines.

It says the majority of those affected are in Kingston and rural St. Andrew.

The JPS says some restoration efforts are being hampered by the current conditions and a lack of access.

The company says 1-thousand-2-hundred customers are without power in Mavis Bank, St. Andrew.

The JPS says its teams will continue to remain alert and take restorative action as quickly as safety factors allow.
