The Jamaica Teacher’s Association is to meet the government today at 11 AM for further wage discussions.
That’s according to President of the JTA, Georgia Waugh Richards.

The teachers have so far rejected the government’s 6-percent wage offer for the 2017-2019 contract period.
Mrs. Waugh Richards says if better news isn’t received from the government, normality can’t be ensured for the start of the new school term.
