President of the Jamaica Teachers Association, JTA, Jasford Gabriel says the news that the body of Natalie Dawkins was found today is distressing.
Several teachers had joined the security forces in the search for Ms. Dawkins.
A cash reward for information about Ms Dawkins whereabouts, was increased to $1.5 million, this week.
Mr. Gabriel says there was still hope of finding the missing educator alive.
He says the teacher’s demise confirms that the nation has lost what he calls our moral compass.
