The JLP has selected Juliet Holness, the wife of Opposition Leader Andrew Holness, as its candidate in East Rural St. Andrew.
JLP General Secretary, Dr. Horace Chang says Mrs. Holness has satisfied the requirements to represent the party in the seat.
Mrs. Holness will challenge another newcomer to representational politics, the PNP’s Imani Duncan Pryce.
East Rural St. Andrew is one of the 22 marginal seats that will decide the outcome of the next general elections.
The PNP have had much instability in the seat, but Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller told comrades in Hanover this week, that Mrs. Holness will get a thrashing come election day.
