Justice Minister Delroy Chuck says he’s confident that the Court of Appeal will side with government in the matter of extending the tenure of Director of Public Prosecutions, DPP, Paula Llewellyn.

The Constitutional Court on Friday struck down an amendment that allowed Miss Llewellyn to elect to stay in office beyond her 63rd birthday.

Minister Chuck says based on his interpretation of the ruling, DPP Llewellyn will continue in office till she reaches age 65.
