Jamaica’s Yona Knight wisdom, failed to advance to the final of the men’s 3-metres Spring Board Diving Competition, at the Olympic games.

Knight-Wisdom finished 14th in the standings 2-place outside of the top 12 finalists.

Former national diver, Betsy Sullivan-Sharp, says the pressure of competing at the Olympics may have been too much for him.

In a post today on Facebook he said “I’m so proud of what I have achieved whilst representing this country. To come within 8 points of making an Olympic final caps an unbelievable year for me! Thanks to everybody for the amazing messages of support during this time. Onto the next chapter in my diving career”
