Telecommunications company LIME has reportedly indicated that it plans to cut staff in Barbados, as a result of its merger with Flow.

The General Secretary of the Barbados Workers’ Union, BWU, Toni Moore made the disclosure over the weekend.

However, she says it’s too early to say how many people would be sent home.

Moore says although the company has not formally indicated the extent of the impact, they have acknowledged that they may need to shed labour in some areas.

She says LIME has committed to making every attempt to engage the BWU, to ensure that due process is upheld and that the best persons are retained.
