Head of the St. Ann Police Division, Senior Superintendent Dwight Powell, says while several major crimes are showing a decline, murders are still rising in the parish.

He was speaking at the general meeting of the St. Ann municipal Corporation on Thursday.

SSP Powell says murders this year continue to run ahead of last year’s numbers.

He says interpersonal conflicts continue to be the main cause of murders in the Division.
