A man has been charged for murder in connection with the mob attack of 62-year-old Chieftin Campbell in Mandeville, Manchester last month.

He’s been identified as Orlando Powell.

On May 6, Mr. Campbell died of injuries he sustained after he was beaten by a crowd in what the police say was a case of mistaken identity.

Head of the Manchester Police, Superintendent Lloyd Darby, confirmed with our news centre that a post mortem last week revealed that Mr. Campbell died from blunt force trauma.

Superintendent Darby says Powell is out on bail.
