Man Losses Leg After Being Hit by Train in St Catherine

A man’s leg was severed yesterday, after he was hit by a train in St Catherine.

The incident happened in the vicinity of McCook’s Pen in the parish.

Operations Officer at the Jamaica Railway Corporation, Vernon Dixon, says the incident happened just before 5:00 Friday afternoon.

He says while not frequent, persons are injured by trains from time to time.
