Local Government Minister, Desmond McKenzie, says the conditions he encountered on a mini tour of Western Hanover on Thursday are some of the worst he’s seen anywhere on the island.

Western Hanover fell under the control of the JLP in the last General Election held on September 3, 2020, with attorney-at-law Tamika Davis winning the seat.

Prior to that it was governed for 31 unbroken years by the PNP.

Minister McKenzie says many of the constituents he met complained of the absence of piped water for almost 10 years, while others complained about poor garbage collection.
