Member of Parliament for West Kingston, Desmond McKenzie, is welcoming the Cabinet decision to apologize and compensate residents of Tivoli Gardens for the excesses of the security forces during the May 2010 operation to apprehend Christopher ‘Dudus’ Coke.

Mr. McKenzie says he agrees with the conclusions of the the Commission of Enquiry into the operation.

He says the government must ensure the recommendations are used to improve the lives of West Kingston residents.
