The People’s National Party, PNP, says the government’s tone deaf behaviour has contributed to industrial action taken by unions this week.

That’s according to Opposition Spokesman on Transport, Mikael Phillips while speaking with Nationwide News.

The country’s air traffic controllers joined the workers of the National Water Commission in taking strike action this week.

Other unions have also expressed restiveness over the government’s handling of the compensation review exercise and several longstanding concerns.

Mr. Phillips says the government must adopt a new approach in managing the process.

The Opposition Spokesman believes the unions are not being unreasonable in their demands and is urging the government to listen.
