The St. James Police continues its push against public disorder with the introduction of a Mobile Police Unit into the Montego Bay space.

This comes as part of the police’s public order reset strategy dubbed operation ‘Restore Paradise’.

Commanding Officer for the division, Senior Superintendent Vernon Ellis, says the unit will boost capacity and act as a force multiplier in the area.

SSP Ellis says the unit will be placed in the township as a permanent fixture.

The officers, he says, will be able to carry out administrative work from the mobile unit without going to the nearest police station.
