The Major Organized Crime and Anti-Corruption Agency, MOCA says it has expanded its investigation into what’s been described as an elaborate cocaine smuggling racket involving at least two members of the Constabulary Force.
Last Friday two Policemen and one of their former colleagues were arrested in connection with the MOCA probe.
The trio were taken into custody after they were intercepted at the Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston by MOCA investigators who were acting on intelligence.
Director of Investigations at MOCA, Senior Superintendent Cleon Marsh says the Police are expanding their investigation into what’s believed to an extensive cocaine smuggling racket.
SSP Marsh says the Policemen and their accomplice are to be interrogated today. He says a file will then be sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions.
SSP Marsh gave more details of the operation which led to the lawmen being taken into custody.
