Mayor of Montego Bay Leeroy Williams is calling on hoodlums who’ve been creating mayhem in the city to put a stop to their senseless criminal activities.
The mayor made the call at the weekend during a cheque presentation to Kelly-Ann Reece.
Reece is the mother of 10-year-old Calyssa Walker who was shot and injured while gunmen traded bullets in broad daylight on McCatty Street in Montego Bay on October 6.

For her part, Councillor Caretaker for the Mount Salem Division, Reena Forbes argued that the state alone is not able to fight crime.
Meanwhile, Ms Reece who was travelling in a bus with her two daughters when she was shot, explained that the elder daughter, Calyssa suffered a fractured skull and has difficulty walking on her own.
