Director of Tourism, Donovan White, says the industry is noticing a significant influx and longer stays of visitors to the island compared to previous years despite the Covid-19 pandemic.
White says the sector’s visitor earnings is expected to surpass over US $3 billion by the end of the year.
White added that the country’s current tourist markets including US, Canada and the Latin Caribbean are seeing positive numbers.
He says the sector is now looking to attract tourists from new markets in the Eastern side of the globe.
