High Court Judge, Justice Dennis Morrison, was yesterday sworn in to act as President of the Court of Appeal.

He was appointed following the retirement of President, Justice Seymour Panton.

Governor General, Sir Patrick Allen, who presided over the swearing in ceremony, says Justice Morrison has had a long and distinguished career and has contributed tremendously to the development of Jamaica’s Jurisprudence.

Justice Morrison wants an urgent improvement to the conditions in which the Supreme Court is expected to function, particularly as it relates to the number of judges and physical space.
