The future of embattled Member of Parliament for Central Westmoreland, George Wright, is increasingly uncertain.

A meeting between the MP for Central Westmoreland and two senior members of the governing Jamaica Labour Party, the JLP ended a short while ago.

Following a directive from Prime Minister and JLP Leader, Andrew Holness, Wright was summoned to the meeting this afternoon with the party’s General Secretary Dr. Horace Chang.

It’s understood that Gender Minister, Olivia Grange, also took part in the meeting which took place at an undisclosed location in the Corporate Area.

Dr. Chang is to send a report containing details from the meeting to the JLP caucus of MPs who are to then deliberate on Wright’s future.

Mr. Wright is engulfed in controversy over a viral video which showed a man beating a woman.

The MP was questioned yesterday by the Police in connection with the video.

He was released without charge.
