National swim coach Wendy Lee and National representative Nathaniel Thomas have expressed their shock and disappointment after the force cancelation of Saturday’s race session at the Stadium pool.

There has not been any competitive swimming locally since the global lockdown of world sports in March.

Alrick Swaby tells us more:

Meanwhile, the President of the Aquatic Sports Association of Jamaica, ASAJ, Martin Lyn, has dismissed claims that the Association did not get permission from the Ministry of Health to host the swim session.

Speaking on Sports Nation Live, Lyn says the Ministry of Health order that the event be cancelled because they were miss led by persons closely associated with the association.

Lyn says a swimming even has to meet a certain standard before it can be classified as a swim meet.
