National Commercial Bank, NCB, has dismissed as invalid, messages circulating on the social media platform WhatsApp about the closure of certain Automated Banking Machines, ABMs.

It says in light of recent events at banks’ ABMs across the island, it is still assessing the operations with service providers and the authorities to ensure the safety and security of its customers, employees and service providers.

According to the Bank, it remains committed to providing customers with convenient access to their funds and will take all necessary steps to maintain the reliability and security of its services.

It says it is encouraging customers to make purchases with their debit, credit and prepaid cards, as well as through Lynk, where possible.

It is also urging customers to use the mobile and online banking services to make transfers and bill payments.
