The Executive Director of the National Education Trust, NET, Latoya Harris Ghartey, says work to repair Burnt Savannah Primary School is set to commence in two weeks.

Her comment follows concerns raised by the Principal of Burnt Savannah Primary School, Janet Stephenson-Atkinson.

Atkinson says no repairs have been done to the institution, which was severely damaged by Hurricane Melissa in October last year.

However, Ghartey states that NET has visited the school to assess the damage on several occasions, and that the process is far advanced.
