Prime Minister Andrew Holness says a new national vaccination task force is set to be established as a part of the Government’s efforts in managing the Covid-19 pandemic.

He says the burden on medical practitioners to simultaneously care for those hospitalised and be a part of the vaccination programme is apparent.

The Prime Minister visited several vaccination centers in West Kingston on Friday, as part of his islandwide vaccination tours.

Tivoli High School and Denham town were two of the centers Mr. Holness visited.

He said the overcrowding of vaccination sites continues to pose a challenge to the Government.

However, Mr. Holness sought to encourage those vaccinated at the centers to advise other individuals on getting the jab.
