A new political advocacy group, Roots Radical, which says it’s non aligned, is inviting the country’s two main political parties to participate in a series of debates in all 63 constituencies, ahead of the next general elections.
The group has published an open letter, it says has been sent to PNP President and Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller and Opposition Leader, Andrew Holness.
The founder of Roots Radical is Errol Stephenson, a former JLP Councillor for the Grants Pen Division in St. Andrew in the early 1980s.

Mr. Stephenson says Roots Radical is comprised of former PNP and JLP supporters who are frustrated by the way politics is being practiced.
He’s calling on the two major parties to engage constituents on an intellectual level about how they can make their lives better.
