Executive Director of the National Integrity Action, NIA, Professor Trevor Munroe is calling for a probe into the failure of the Firearm licensing Authority, FLA, to revoke the gun license of Patrick Powell.

Mr. Munroe says the Major Organized Crime and Anti-Corruption Agency, MOCA, should investigate both the police and the FLA to determine why Mr. Powell’s license was not revoked.

Professor Munroe also wants MOCA to find out whether witness statements are usually required for the revocation of all firearm licenses.

And if so, he wants the police to say, why they failed to provide one to the FLA.

Professor Munroe is also calling on the government to act swiftly in passing the bill to establish a single anti-corruption agency.
