Prime Minister Andrew Holness has announced that motorists will be able to use the new May Pen to Williamsfield leg of Highway 2000 free until the end of the year.

He made the announcement Thursday morning at the official opening of the highway.

Previously it took one hour by car to travel from May Pen in Clarendon to Williamsfield in Manchester.

The new highway will limit the travel time to approximately 15 minutes for users to get into Mandeville.
