Noel Maitland’s appearance in the St. Andrew Parish Court has been delayed to tomorrow, Friday August 12.

Reports indicated the police constable was to make his first court appearance this morning in Half Way Tree, St. Andrew.

But police sources indicated to our news centre the matter had been shifted to tomorrow.

Maitland’s attorney, Christopher Townsend, says he turned up at Court expecting the matter to be heard.

Maitland is charged with the murder of his 24 year old girlfriend, social media influencer Donna-lee Donaldson.

Miss Donaldson has been missing since July 13. 

She was reportedly last seen at the New Kingston apartment of Maitland.

Police investigators have yet to locate her body.

Mr. Townsend says he’s troubled that it appears his client’s case is being treated differently.

He says he has yet to see his client.
