Danny has strengthened into a category three hurricane as it continues on a path towards the Northern Caribbean.

Maximum sustained winds have increased to near 115 miles per hour.

But as Danny moves across the Atlantic, it’s expected to weaken due to unfavorable conditions.

Evan Thompson is the head of Weather Branch at the Meterological Service of Jamaica.

And the Office of Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management, ODPEM says its reviewing the country’s readiness as Hurricane Danny strengthens and moves closer to the Caribbean.

This, while it maintains that Hurricane Danny is not a threat to Jamaica at this time.
