Finance minister, Dr. Nigel Clarke says, a database for potential public board directors will soon be online.
The finance minister says by January applications to serve on government boards will be available.
The Parliament last year approved new regulations for nomination and appointment to the boards of public bodies. This was in response to repeated reports of nepotism and cronyism stemming from such appointments.
The new regulations limit how many boards an individual can serve and subject potential board appointees to a due diligence check.
However, Dr. Clarke reminds public boards that under the new dispensation they must recognise that their duty is to implement government policy.
The finance minister is reminding current board members to ensure they apply.
