Opposition Leader Mark Golding is raising concerns about measures used by members of the security forces which he says facilitate a spread of COVID 19.

He was reacting to a recent incident in which staff members of the Victoria Mutual Building Society, VMBS in New Kingston were arrested by Police who accused them of hosting a party in contravention of the Disaster Risk Management Act, DRMA.

The VMBS staffers denied the claims and said they were holding a corporate function for which they’ve received prior permission from the authorities.

Mr Golding says those arrested were taken to crowded Police stations which he says is cause for concern.

In response Prime Minister Andrew Holness admitted there are what he calls some technical issues to be solved with the ticketing system.
