The Opposition Jamaica Labour Party has rejoined the Partnership for Jamaica Council.
The Partnership for Jamaica Council involves representatives of government, the opposition, private sector, trade unions and civil society.
A statement from the Office of the Prime Minister today says it’s pleased that the Opposition has re-engaged in the Partnership process. Senator Kamina Johnson-Smith yesterday attended the meeting of the Partnership. The meeting focused on labour market reform.
It included a presentation and update by the Labour Market Reform Commission. The government entered into the partnership in 2013, but the Opposition had refused to participate
