Jamaica has recorded 458 new cases of Covid-19.
Figures released by the Health Ministry disclosed that the new cases were confirmed after 1,819 samples were tested.
The figures from tests conducted on Saturday represent a positivity rate of 25%.
Over the past 24-hours, five people were confirmed to have died after contracting the virus.
Two of the five deaths are fatalities from several days ago which were classified as under investigation.
There are currently 245 people with Covid-19 in Jamaica who are hospitalized.
68 are considered moderately ill and 29 are in critical condition.
131 of the new cases were recorded in Kingston and St. Andrew, 50 in St. James, 47 in St. Catherine, 43 in Clarendon and 40 in St. Ann.
