New test captain Mohammad Rizwan showed his leadership quality in a bold innings of 89 which steered Pakistan to a four-wicket win over New Zealand in the third and final Twenty20 international in Napier.
Rizwan’s knock came off 59 balls with 10 fours and three sixes as the Pakistanis set 174 to win raced to 177/6 with two balls to spare.
Rizwan got support from Mohammed Hafeez 41 against two wickets each from Scott Kruggerline and Tim Southee.
Earlier the Kiwis Devon Conway 63, Tim Seifert 35 and Glen Phillips 31 logged 173/7 in their 20 overs against Faheem Ashraful 3/20 and two apiece to Shaheen Afridi and Haris Rauf.
New Zealand won the three match series having secured victory in the first two.
