Finance Minister, Dr. Nigel Clarke, says the Government will review its targeting mechanisms for the Programme of Advancement Through Health and Education, PATH, to make it more accessible to needy Jamaicans.
His announcement comes after Opposition Spokesman on Finance, Julian Robinson, says the weekly payments to beneficiaries under the PATH programme are insufficient.
Dr. Clarke agrees that the process used to determine the basis for which a person is qualified to receive PATH benefits does not align with today’s economy.
