Former Prime Minister PJ Patterson says commercial banks should be sanctioned for not providing enough capital to upcoming entrepreneurs.

Speaking at a recent meeting of the Young Entrepreneurs Association, YEA, Mr. Patterson lamented what he called low participation in capital markets by commercial banks.

He says banks must be given incentives to fund small and upcoming businesses. However, the former Prime Minister says they should also be punished for failing to do so.
