Newly elected Chairman of the People’s National Party, Phillip Paulwell, says he’s been invited by US authorities to re-apply for his Visa which was previously revoked.

Mr. Paulwell’s visa was revoked alongside that of  Cabinet Minister, Daryl Vaz and several members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force.
Despite repeated inquiries, no reason was ever given by US authorities for the revocation.

However, US ambassador to Jamaica, Donald Tapia, stated categorically that the US was in possession of no information of criminal wrongdoing on the part of any Jamaican politician in either the government or the opposition PNP.

Speaking with Nationwide News yesterday Mr. Paulwell says while’s he’s been invited to reapply he’s had no reason to due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Meanwhile, Mr. Paulwell also stated he has no intention to challenge PNP President, Mark Golding, at any point in the near future.
